Frequently Asked Questions

How to make a reservation?
You can make a reservation by calling us, filling out the form or writing to us directly on our website live chat support.
Is there a min/max number of travellers?
There is no maximum limit for travellers when travelling with us. The minimum, on the other hand, is 20 people if travelling by air and 35 people by coach/train.

For groups of fewer than 20 people we are unlikely to be able to obtain meaningful discounts from our suppliers, and so this would be reflected in the prices we’re able to offer you.
What happens if another company offers me a cheaper price?
We offer ‘price matching’ and ‘price beating’ on like-for-like quotations, so if you send us the full quote we will match or beat any competitor’s price.
Can I create a custom trip plan?
We can tailor your itinerary to your unique learning requirements; please contact us via live chat support for a bespoke quote.
Does the price include a rep or travel guide (mentor)?
Yes, one or more of our tour mentors will be waiting for you when you arrive in the city you are travelling to. Please note that our tour mentors are not local guides.
What happens if my group numbers decrease?
Our prices are determined by the number of paying passengers, and so may increase if your numbers decrease, and cancellation charges may apply.
What happens if my group numbers increase?
We will always endeavour to accommodate increases in group size. Please be aware that adding extra passengers may have overall cost implications, e.g. especially the case for groups travelling by air because as flights fill up airlines charge more per seat.
How many teachers can travel for free on my trip?
Generally speaking, we offer one free adult place for every seven paying students travelling by coach (1:7) and one free teacher for every nine students travelling by air (1:9).
Do all students require their own visas?
Non-British citizens may need visas to travel to continental Europe and British citizens may require a visa for long-haul trips. Though we can provide general information, it is your responsibility to check that all members of your school group fulfil the passport, visa, health and immigration requirements applicable to your chosen itinerary. Requirements do change and you must check the up to date position in good time before departure.

Most countries, including European destinations, now require passports to be valid for at least 6 months after your return date. You can check the latest Brexit European travel advice. Special conditions apply for travel to the USA, and all passengers must have individual machine-readable passports. Please check
Up to date travel advice can be obtained from the Foreign and Commonwealth Office at
I’ve found some cheap flights on the internet, can you buy those?
Group airfares differ from individual airfares. It is always much cheaper to buy one ticket individually than multiple tickets at once, and the cost of the tickets increases as more space on an aircraft is filled. This is why ticket prices which can be found online for individual travellers do not match what we are quoted for group travel. Any additional costs, such as booking fees, are also factored into the overall tour price.
What standard of accommodation do you use?
Typically we use 2 or 3-star hotels, youth hostels, and hostels.
We can recommend accommodation that suits your needs and your budget.
Can we use the coach in the evenings, and whenever we like?
Use of the coach in the evenings is subject to European driving regulations.  We can work with you to create an itinerary to make this possible.  This may require an extra driver which will incur an extra charge.
I am planning my tour more than a year in advance, will my price change?
Once you have paid your deposits and your booking has been confirmed, the price of that package will not increase.  With quotations, your price is only valid until the expiry date shown.
